Once again, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance invites one and all to participate in the easiest life-saving activity there is… Making a promise to get a mammogram or spread the word.
We started this campaign in 2009 because the number of women who were getting annual screening mammograms was dropping. These screenings help find cancer at early, more easily cured stages. So we started the annual Make a Mammogram Promise campaign.
This year, we’ve moved Mammogram Promise to Facebook. Please check it out here and sign on to make your promise and then share the link with all of your Facebook friends!
During October, we’ll be posting information on this blog about mammography, breast cancer, and some great stories from our patients who detected their cancer early by getting a mammogram. So, check back frequently, or subscribe to this blog to stay “abreast” of what we’re doing this month.
